Unique Lightweighting Mirror Technology
In the quest to reduce the weight of optical systems for space-based remote sensing and laser communications applications, ITT has developed advanced techniques to fabricate mirrors with lightweight or honeycomb cores. These optic blanks weigh a fraction of a solid mirror blank, but achieve the stiffness and integrity required for critical applications.
